A creative photography workshop taught in English

This is a dynamic workshop with the aim of exploring personal identity and the different ways in which is expressed in the field of photography. It is open to both analog and digital image makers.
Using examples from the three principal fields of photography, documentary, fine art and commercial, we will learn about the various visions of photographers and their world, while working to clarify what is our own personal vision as photographers.
This course has a strong emphasis on manual learning processes and students must bring hard copies of their images that they are working on for class discussion.
A visual diary will be compiled over the course where images will be collected weekly to reflect on the work of established artists, as well as to practice writing and personal reflection about our process and the work that we will be observing.
This course is divided in three sections, the I, the home and the community. Every section will culminate with a unique project that reflects each participant’s relationship with the specific module. Participants will decide the format of their final presentations after discussions about the different ways to exhibit their work and the different implications of different types of exhibitions. At the end of the course there will be a final exhibition open to the public.
This is a photography class that is directed towards participants who are looking to grow as photographers and practice their application of English to their visual, spoken and written work.
People with previous experience with photography or students of photography, that are looking to expand and personalize their vision and style as a photographer.
Adiva Koenigsberg, was born in New York in 1980. She is a photographer, educator and director of photography. She has a BFA in photography from the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. She worked for 10 years as a professor at the International Center of Photography in New York and for two years at the New York Film Academy. In 2010 she cor-wrote the documentary Son of a Railway Man, that was filmed in Zambia and in 2014 she was the director of photography for a documentary called the ZImmer in Israel. Currently she runs a studio in the Born dedicated to independent cinema and photography that concentrates in personal stories.
