(Barcelona, 1964) Freelance photographer. In 1994 he finished his studies at the IEFC. He currently combines his activity as a freelance photographer specializing in reporting and teaching. Passionate traveler and athlete specialized in climbing, he dedicates much time as possible to his personal projects that always have the human being and his environment as their central axis.
1st session: Digital capture
Presentation of the course and its dynamics (practices).
The photographic camera. Parts of the camera. Types of digital cameras.
The shooting: exposure triangle
ISO: what is it?
The shutter. Shutter speed.
Assignment of photography exercise (shutter topic) to be done on your own.
2nd session: Digital capture
Practical correction class 1.
The objectives: physical and optical aspects. Focal length, fixed and variable focal lengths, types of lenses (wide angle, normal, telephoto and macro).
Fullframe and APS sensors and their effect on focal length.
Assignment of an exercise (focal lengths) to be done on your own.
3rd session: Digital capture
Practical correction class 2.
Focus modes.
Light control: aperture and depth of field control.
Assignment of practical exercise (aperture and depth of field topic) to be done on your own.
4th session: Digital capture
Practical correction class 3.
The photometer and exposure control: types of photometers, measurement systems (spot, central, matrix). Methodology for correct measurement. The exposition. The law of reciprocity. Sensitivity (ISO)
Assignment of a practical exercise (applied reciprocity law) to be done by your own.
5th session: Digital capture
Practical correction class 4.
The Histogram: interpretation of the histogram. The contrast. White.
Assignment of a practical exercise (histogram control) to be done on your own.
6th Session: Intr. Studio lighting
Practical correction class 5.
Intro flash. Basic principles.
7th session: Intr. Studio lighting
Introduction to studio lighting, the necessary equipment and common techniques with studio flashes. Basic studio flash practices.
Introduction to portraiture within the studio. Basic techniques and types of studio lighting applied to portraiture.
Study portrait exercises by the students, supervised by the teacher.
8th session: Composition:
The visual forms. The external format of the image. The composition. Visual weights, visual balance, symmetries and asymmetries. The rule of thirds and the golden section.
Light (color of light, intensity, direction, contrast, keys).
Planes, diagonals and vanishing points. Types of photographic planes. The shooting angles.
9th session: Outdoor image capture
10th session: Image review
