Jordi Bernadó will delve key concepts of photography from an artistic perspective. He will also share his personal experience in the art world: the day to day in the studio, dealing with clients, the relationship with galleries and in the studio, dealing with clients, the relationship with galleries and exhibition centers.
Combining theoretical approach and photographic exercises, the workshop will offer participants the possibility to develop a personal project and put it in dialogue with the rest of the works. Bernadó’s gaze will be a guide, but not a conditioning factor. Each participant will articulate his or her own authorship and deepen their own way of seeing the world.
Seeing is inventing’ invites us to use photography as a tool to understand the world. Also as a form of narrative, of creating meaning. The capacity to singularize, to isolate and immortalize the environment, allows the photographer to decode and express what could not be expressed in any other language.
About Jordi Bernadó

He understands the photographic practice as a way of knowledge. His ambition and rigor when decoding his environment have transcended in an extensive, personal and, at the same time, complex work.
The game with reality, the observation of dead angles in which the inverted escapes are some of the constants in his kaleidoscopic work, which addresses topics as diverse as identity, forms of inhabiting and architecture, both at the individual and collective level.
Winner of the Ministry of Culture Award for Best Book of the Year 2002 and the PHotoESPAÑA 2002 Award in the category of Best Photography Book with Very Very Bad News (Ed. Actar, 2002); finalist of the Prix du Livre d’Auteur 2010 at Les Rencontres d’Arles Internationales de la Photographie with the book Welcome to Espaiñ (Ed. Actar, 2009).
Winner of the Fotopres Scholarship and the Endesa X Scholarship.
